From Manchester, Rivet City fuse together blues, funk, and rock elements to make a truly memorable and essential new sound. Their feel good tunes and high-energy live performances cause a significant buzz wherever they travel. They have a big following in Sunderland following recent Gigs at 7even and Independent.
Taking influence from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jamiroquai and the guitar sounds of John Mayer, complemented with a unique lyrical prowess, the band have brought their own unique brand of alt-indie fusion to many festival stages. Favorites include: The Great Escape, Gig in the Garden, Salford Carnival, Sonder Festival, Cadence Festival and Singing for Sophie.
Their debut single release of ‘Circles’ (2016) received unanimous praise and acclaim. The band more recently have released ‘The Lounge Sessions’ which consist of a series of exclusive live video recordings, that capture their subtly complex sound and gravelly vocals with an unexpected rawness.
